Turnkey Distillery Plants for Growing Producers in Africa and Asia

Unimech designs, supplies, installs and commissions complete distillery plants for potable spirits and ethanol. We size the plant to the volume you need today and plan the layout so you can add capacity later. One team is responsible from the first drawing to your first batch.

Who this is for

Spirits and beverage-alcohol producers building or upgrading a distillery

Sugar mills and cane processors turning molasses into ethanol

Grain, cassava and sorghum processors adding a higher-value product

Producers of industrial or sanitiser-grade ethanol

Installation, commissioning and operator training

How a distillery plant works

1. Feedstock Preperation

Grain or cassava is cleaned and milled. Molasses is diluted to the right strength.

4. Rectification

More column stages raise the alcohol strength to your specification.

2. Fermentation

Yeast turns sugars into alcohol in controlled tanks over [X] hours.

5. Dehydration or maturation

Ethanol is dried to fuel grade, or spirits move on to blending and ageing.

3. Distillation

Columns separate the alcohol from the fermented liquid.

6. By-products and effluent

Spent wash is treated or reused, and heat is recovered where possible.

Your project with us

1. Consult

We ask about your product, volume, budget, site and market.

4. Install and commission

Our team sets up the plant and runs it until it meets the agreed specification.

2. Design and quote

We prepare a process design, layout, equipment list and a clear quotation.

5. Train and support

Your operators are trained. Spares and service stay available afterwards.

3. Supply

Equipment is built or sourced, inspected and shipped. We handle export documents.

What we will ask you for

  • The product: potable spirit, fuel ethanol or industrial ethanol

  • Your feedstock and where you buy it

  • Target litres per day, now and in three years

  • Site size, power, water and steam availability

  • Local licensing and effluent rules

Frequently asked questions

What feedstocks can the plant use?

Molasses, grain, cassava, sorghum and others. We design the plant around the one or two feedstocks you will use most.

What capacity range do you supply?

5,000 to 50,000 litres per day. Tell us your target and we will suggest a starting size and a path to expand.

Can I start small and expand later?

Yes. We plan the layout, utilities and control system so extra fermenters or columns can be added.

What utilities does the plant need?

Steam, cooling water, electricity and effluent handling. The proposal lists the figures so you can check them against your site.

Do you help with licences?

We supply the technical documents. Licences are issued by your local authorities, and the rules differ by country.

How long does a project take?

9 to 12 months from order to first production. It depends on size, site readiness and shipping time.

Planning a distillery?

Send us your feedstock and target output. We will reply with a suggested plant size and an outline proposal within 1 to 2 business days.
